Jeremiah 20:9- “But if I say, “I will not mention him or speak any more in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.”
A while back, I met a guy my age who was discontent with what he did for a living. He mentioned (seriously) “well, I guess I’ll just stick it out for another 29 years.” He didn’t see this as crazy. I avoid Starbucks if I see there’s a line. How could someone stick it out for 29 years? I believe that God has wired us to come alive when fully surrendered to Him and this blog is devoted to the overflow of my response to God’s Word that needs to escape. I have a passion for Jesus, people, learning, teaching, and living. I am a husband, father, and Director of Student Ministries for McLean Bible Church, Prince William Campus.
